Until Next Week
I'm off to that thing in California. And before I go there, I need to stop somewhere else. So I'll be gone until next week. Try not to miss me too much. I'll bring back tales of adventure.
Spiros: Very crazy stuff. No spy stuff, but still plenty of intrigue. All I can say is if you ever get employed by a Hong Kong concern of any sort, make sure you contract is defined as "employer/employee" relationship and the aggressive HK labour law is actually on your side. I was lucky to have had the law on my side there, which really rocks!
Observations from an old cranky jerk who happens to be a professional philosopher. Occasionally philosophical, most often just vulgar. Sometimes focused on sober points of logic and issues in political theory, but more frequently fixed on nonsense. Bad metal bands, crappy guitarists, stupid lyrics, celebrities, pop "culture," telemarketers, irrationality, and other annoyances. Always misanthropic. Anti-religious. Not particularly amusing, either. Some might say insulting. Strange mail. Kook magnet. Doom. Comments from other cranky jerks, young and old.

Safe travels. Just came back from naother adventure in China where I had to collect substantial amount of money from a business associate.
