"The Thrill"
I stand on the hill
not for a thrill
but for a breath of fresh kill
Never mind the man who contemplates
doing away with license plates
He stands alone, anyhow
baking the cookies of discontent
by the heat of the laundromat vent
Leaving his soul!
. . .
Leaving his soul!
Parting the waters
of the medulla oblongata
of - -brrrrrr! - -mankind

It's certainly a bit more insightful than Maurice's dreck.
Why must there be some back-of-the-hand comment re Professor Leiter at nearly every turn around here? Don't you have more important things to think about?
This poem is beautiful, I like so much poetry because I'm receiving a course, so what I liked of this poem was I felt relaxed after reading it.m10m
What a nice poem, it reminds me when I was young and full of energy, it makes me feel so nostalgic.
This seems very interesting to me. I was looking for info about this stuff, but I hadn't been able to find exactly what I wanted. Thanks for info.
