Necrotizing Fasciitis

Jeff Hanneman apparently is going to miss a few upcoming Slayer shows because he's recovering from necrotizing fasciitis, an infection that "eats away at the skin, fat, and bones of the inflicted."

Some are calling this an "incredibly metal reason" for missing a few shows. Meh. Not particularly metal in my book to let decaying flesh and bones get in the way.

Hanneman... not very metal after all.

More here.

Complete bullshit. The only reason to miss a show is Entitilitis.

Now if Hanneman missed a show because he was too busy eating away at the skin, fat, and bones of other people... well that woulds be totally metals.

Assuming Hanneman is not spending the majority of his time in some Jungle somewhere, I am forced to ask how the hell he managed to get this?

"Bones of the Inflicted" isn't a bad album title, but I would have expected the folks at the Onion to have a better handle on their vocabulary.

I've always been a major Slayer fan -- probably my favourite band -- so think it's metal enough. Hoping to see him on stage soon...

So, it seems Hanneman is going from Slayer to Carcass...
