But, all the same, every time I go to the APA, I hope I see a giant, clear sign that says, "THIS IS THE SUPERSECRET SIGN."

Thom Brooks always seems to be a meant-to-knower who's not anonymous. Although I won't be there myself, my suggestion to other not-meant-to-knowers is to follow him around until he leads you to the special meeting. Sorry Thom.
After the meeting we can go to a nice bar I know of in Chino, it's a beautiful area not far from SD.
