Overheard in Academia

Prof: Can you believe it? There's no chalk in this classroom.... again. How hard is it to keep the classrooms stocked with chalk?

Student: You're a chemist, and you have all those chemicals up there. Why don't you just make some?

Prof: I'll grind your bones.

I'd say a teachable moment about one physical part of human nature.

Though a bit aggressively put.

Good thing it wasn't a whiteboard; hydrocarbons are not so forceful an analogy unless they're poly-unsaturated.
