Who's the Boss?
I live in L.A., and I had been drinking one night. So I was on the Walk of Fame, and I saw Tony Danza'a star and I started urinating on it, just yelling out "Who's the boss now?"

Speaking about bosses, you all should read what's goin' on at The Smoker. The moderator Mr. Zero is having a megalomanic's meltdown. He set this draconian policy in place to stop obnoxious comments from posting and he's been violating it by posting his own obnoxious comments. Lots of the readers are calling for him to step down as blog moderator, but he refuses a la Anthony Weiner. Looks like Philosophers Anonymous might push out The Smoker the next time Leiter conducts a poll.
Anonymous, what you're asking for makes no sense. You can't ask the moderater of a blog to 'step down' as moderator. The blog is not a public institution, nor is it a corporation on whose board you are a member.

Stepping down from a blog? What are you, brain damaged or did everyone in your school get socially promoted to help your shoddy husk of a sense of worth and self?

I too think Mr. Zero should step down. How dare he refuse to let us play with his toys in the manner to which we have grown accustomed! I for one won't stand for it but instead shall flail about wildly upon the floor, pummeling the air with my tiny fists and screaming "No Take Backs" until hoarse.
It doesn't seem like anyone knows the history of The Smoker blog. It was original The Philosophy Job Market blog. The original moderator handed it over to the current moderator. If he's abusing his role as moderator, readers have the right to complain and ask that he step down. Of course he has the right to refuse, bury his head in the sand and pull an Anthony Weiner.
As for the Smoker, readers are quickly tiring of Zero's hypocrisy. Either he has to let someone better take over as moderator or someone needs to start a fresh philosophy job market blog. End of story.
Observations from an old cranky jerk who happens to be a professional philosopher. Occasionally philosophical, most often just vulgar. Sometimes focused on sober points of logic and issues in political theory, but more frequently fixed on nonsense. Bad metal bands, crappy guitarists, stupid lyrics, celebrities, pop "culture," telemarketers, irrationality, and other annoyances. Always misanthropic. Anti-religious. Not particularly amusing, either. Some might say insulting. Strange mail. Kook magnet. Doom. Comments from other cranky jerks, young and old.
