Throw a large party, with a lot of booze, in a tropical location. Subsidize travel costs while you're at it.

PA said it best.
Thanks for being a jerky-asshole and making me laugh after 5 hours in the classroom or dealing with endless grading, dumbass colleagues or referees. I first started reading this blog three and a half years ago as a timid female assistant professor in a tiny office with no windows. I am the only woman in my department and I was focused on attaining tenure amidst ever-arising doom. Now I am a bad-ass associate prof with a gigantic corner office. My windows are floor to ceiling. This blog has helped me through all of that.
Cheers Spiros!
p.s. it is fucking great not to be on the job market

How about a selection of your favourite posts/comments on the blog to date?

Why not take a break from your lengthy daily posts?

Reveal your identity, coward.

Me am wanting Bizarro Philosopher's Anonymous on birthday. Always nice and friendly. Billy Joel am awesome. Phil Collins am awesome. APA am awesome. Logic am bad word. Ugh! But Bizarro Spiros don't cuss--use good words not like logic word. Bizarro Spiros so good nominated for Peace Prize!

I don't understand why you would want to mark the "birthday" in any fucking way. This blog is only occasionally philosophical, but most often just vulgar. Sometimes it's focused on sober points of logic and issues in political theory, but more frequently fixed on nonsense. Add bad metal bands, crappy guitarists, stupid lyrics, celebrities, pop "culture," telemarketers, irrationality, and other annoyances, and that's it. It's consistently misanthropic, anti-religious, and not particularly amusing, either. Some might say it's insulting. Would that it had fallen stillborn from it's infernal mother's loins. And I mean all that in the sincerest way.

Moreover, most of the comments appear to be written by poorly disposed jerks of various ages.

That is pretty similar what my dad said to me each year:

"Birthday? Why should we celebrate your birthday? You're just a fuck-up."
