Christmas DOOM

I made the mistake of going to a shopping mall this afternoon, so of course I was subjected to all the obscenity that the Christmas shopping season has to offer.  Serves me right, I know.  But I encountered a new nauseating factor: Some group of wailing British women (could it be the Spice Girls?) have produced a cover of The Waitresses "Christmas Wrappings" that is even more annoying and vapid than the original.  Wonders never cease.
